Reddit user MetsFan4Ever has quickly become a popular and somewhat reliable source for WWE news. The person who claims to be a former worker of WWE has broken a number of different stories in regards to the company. Most recently, the individual was the first to report that WWE will not be holding its annual “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view in February. Additionally, MetsFan4Ever has correctly called match stipulations, and changes to WWE programming.
On the same day the Reddit user reported on the backstage attitude concerning Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, the person behind the account also provided an update on when former NXT Tag Team Champions, The Ascension, will debut on the main WWE roster. According to the user, WWE has already finished a series of vignettes for the tag team.
A vignette was potentially going to air on the Dec. 1 showing of “Monday Night Raw,” but was held off the program. Instead, WWE will likely wait until “NXT Takeover: R Evolution” has come and gone to air any vignettes. At the event on Dec. 11, the duo will face Finn Bálor and Hideo Itami.
The vignettes were reportedly played multiple times in the WWE production truck, and all employees have taken a liking to it. Producer Kevin Dunn made some slight fixes and changes to the vignettes, but they were still ready to air on Dec. 1. Additionally, the report noted that The Ascension will be portrayed similarly to WWE’s tag teams of the 1980s.
Editor’s Note
