The past two weeks of WWE programming have seem to put John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose all at odds. For Ambrose, since Rollins turned his back on The Shield, Ambrose has stopped at nothing to make Rollins’ life miserable. On the other hand, Cena has just gotten started with Rollins. Cena believes Rollins cost him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at “Night of Champions.” During Cena’s match with Brock Lesnar at the event, Rollins interfered, attacking Cena while he tried to pin Lesnar upon a third “Attitude Adjustment.”
During the last weekend of September, there was speculation that either Cena or Ambrose would get his hands on Rollins in the Hell in a Cell at the October pay-per-view. The past report noted that Cena could face Ambrose to open the pay-per-view, with the victor getting to face Rollins for the briefcase in the main event.
PWInsider has provided more information on the plans for these three marquee stars. According to the website, instead of Cena and Ambrose clashing at “Hell in a Cell,” the two would have a match on one of the last two showings of “Monday Night Raw” leading to the pay-per-view. The victor would then get to face Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match.
As for the loser, there are two scenarios being thrown around. One scenario would see the loser face Randy Orton at “Hell in a Cell.” The other scenario would see the loser be the “keeper of the key” for the main event Hell in a Cell match between Rollins and the victor.
Editor’s Note
I wouldn’t mind this, as there really aren’t many alternatives to be had. Whoever wouldn’t face Rollins may have his momentum stalled. Though, the “Lunatic Fringe” serving as the “keeper of the key” to the main event Hell in a Cell match may be money.
