With WWE currently overseas for its final tour of Europe in 2014, the Nov. 10 showing of “Monday Night Raw” aired on tape delay. It was originally taped at 3 p.m. EST in Liverpool, England at the Echo Arena. With “Monday Night Raw” not going on the air until 8 p.m. EST, WWE had a few hours to edit the show.
According to F4WOnline, WWE did not want any mentions of the WWE Network by its performers in the ring. As noted in our spoilers for “Raw,” there were very heavy “where’s our network” chants during the opening segment. Most of these chants would be edited out, with some being able to be heard during The Authority’s entrance to begin “Raw.”
With the loud chants about the WWE Network, and WWE wanting no mentions of it by its talent, the company also had to cut around some of John Cena’s words in the opening segment. Cena addressed the crowd’s chants, blaming The Authority for the WWE Network being delayed in the United Kingdom. Though, Cena’s words were able to subdue the chants, and for the most part, they would not end up happening again.
Additionally, with WWE not wanting to put any emphasis on the WWE Network to the crowd, it had to use different ring aprons. Instead of ring aprons that had the WWE Network logo, the company used its ring aprons from WWE live events, pictured below:
Editor’s Note
Not too surprising to see WWE edited out such chants.
