The first championship match for WWE “Survivor Series” on Nov. 23 has been confirmed.

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee will defend her title against the No. 1 contender, Nikki Bella.

Nikki earned the right to challenge for the belt by winning a Halloween Costume Battle Royal during the Oct. 31 edition of “Friday Night SmackDown.”

These two have waged war over the Divas Championship in the past. Both AJ and Nikki competed in a Triple Threat match, alongside Paige, at WWE “Night of Champions.”

It had been reported that WWE may go with a Team Brie Bella vs. Team Nikki traditional “Survivor Series” elimination tag team match at the pay-per-view, but this title bout all but cancels that out.

Editor’s Note

I’m all for this match. Nikki has improved tremendously between the ropes over the past several months, shocking even me. A new challenger was needed before the AJ vs. Paige program became too stale.
