Daniel Bryan, who returned to in-ring action at the beginning of 2015, following a near eight month absence, has seen his health in doubt yet again. Bryan was unexpectedly removed from WWE’s recent mid-April European tour for what WWE called a “precautionary measure.”
A recent report from Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline has provided the latest information on the subject. Talent on WWE’s European tour have been stating that Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion in a match against Sheamus on the April 2 “Smackdown.” The bout was Sheamus’ first since his return in late March, and it would also see Bryan get cut open towards the end. In turn, Sheamus came under fire for working “reckless” with Bryan.
Since the April 2 showing of “Smackdown,” WWE has kept Daniel Bryan out of singles matches, which may be a sign the company had known he was banged up. Though, WWE has been concerned over Bryan’s health since his return, so the company may have been acting cautious on its own accord. Meltzer would go on to note that if WWE diagnosed Bryan with a concussion, he would not have been allowed to compete following “Smackdown.”
Editor’s Note
If Bryan does indeed have a concussion, WWE should make sure he is 100% for “Extreme Rules.” If not, he should not wrestle.
