TVByTheNumbers.com has released viewership numbers for cable programs which aired during the night of Monday, May 20. Last week, the viewership for “Monday Night Raw” was subpar, down from its previous week, barely averaging north of 4,000,000 viewers.
With this week’s showing of “Monday Night Raw” being taped in London, airing on a tape delay, it should come as no surprise that viewership was once again down. In fact, the May 20 edition of the program failed to draw in more than 4,000,000 viewers at any time, averaging 3,763,000 viewers.
The first hour was the lowest in regards to viewership, drawing in 3,530,000 viewers. Viewership then saw a sharp increase for the second hour, where it peaked at 3,903,000 viewers. Finally, for the show’s third hour, viewership slightly decreased to 3,852,000 viewers.
“Monday Night Raw” received a 1.4 rating for adults aged 18-49, down from last week’s rating of 1.5. Once again, among cable programs, “Monday Night Raw” was bested by the NBA playoffs in addition to VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.”
Editor’s Note
While viewership will likely increase for next week when “Monday Night Raw” returns live, WWE should still be concerned with the continued decrease in viewership from week to week. One positive the company can draw on is that for the past couple of weeks, the first hour tends to be the least-watched, meaning viewership is increasing throughout the night.
