The Shield and Evolution will compete in a No Holds Barred Elimination Match at “Payback.” The stipulation to the match was added during the pre-show to “Monday Night Raw” on May 19.

As we previously reported, The Shield vs. Evolution exists as one of the only of the two confirmed matches for “Payback,” which will air on PPV and the WWE Network on June 1. In a rematch from “Extreme Rules,” Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins will face Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista in an elimination style six-man tag team bout at “Payback.”

Reigns is expected to shine in the match, as he did during the 2013 “Survivor Series” PPV, where he eliminated more competitors during a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match than anyone ever has before. Reigns is rumored to be facing Triple H, possibly at “SummerSlam,” but will have to stand beside his fellow Shield members on June 1 before any of that can come to fruition.

Batista is rumored to be taking time off from WWE television following “Payback.” It is likely that he gets eliminated first in the match.

Editor’s Note:
I just got a LOT more interested in this re-match. This will be good.
