WWE aired another edition of its flagship program, “Monday Night Raw,” on May 18. The show served as the first piece of WWE programming following its “Payback” pay-per-view. Additionally, it featured two championship matches, as well as a debut by current NXT Champion Kevin Owens.
According to TVByTheNumbers.com, the May 18 edition of “Monday Night Raw” averaged 3.999 million viewers. The figure is up eight percent from last week’s viewership mark of 3.690 million.
Below is the hourly viewership breakdown for the May 18 “Monday Night Raw:”
Hour 1: 4.001 million viewers
Hour 2: 4.001 million viewers
Hour 3: 3.955 million viewers
Throughout the night, WWE maintained consistent viewership on a night in which it did not face competition from the NBA Playoffs for the first time in a few weeks. Because of that, “Monday Night Raw” was the most-viewed cable program on May 18. Though, in terms of ratings for adults aged 18-49, WWE finished second on the night. It trailed VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” series, which obtained a rating of 1.6 for the demographic.
Editor’s Note
Nice to see that “Monday Night Raw” viewership is back up around the four million mark. It may be due to the fact that there were no NBA Playoff games that night, so keep an eye out for that next week.
