Mark Henry will join forces with Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods upon his return. In full-circle fashion for the superstar, it may be in the form of a new incarnation of the popular Attitude Era faction, the Nation of Domination.
On the July 21 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” it appeared as if the faction was being created. After Kingston and Big E lost a match to RybAxel, Woods appeared to confront the visibly upset duo. Woods then cut a heel-esque promo, saying that the three of them needed to stop waiting to be handed anything anymore, and that they needed to start taking what they wanted.
The promo led many to believe that we would be seeing a reformation of the popular Nation of Domination faction, which achieved fame in the late 1990s. In fact, back in May, there were rumors that a reformation of the faction may be in store.
According to F4WOnline, Henry, who was in the Nation of Domination from 1997-1998, will reportedly be returning to WWE programming soon in order to join the new stable of young stars. Henry competed at WrestleMania XXX in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Henry would eliminate three combattants, but did not end up with the victory.
Following WrestleMania, he has been used sparingly on WWE programming. He has appeared on some editions of “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown,” but has not wrestled on a Pay-Per-View since then.
Editor’s Note
I would love to see a new Nation of Domination run roughshod in WWE. With Henry at the helm, his career could be rejuvenated, while helping the career of a guy like Big E.
By the way, how bout that Ryback kid looking strong?
