On Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, WWE continued its holiday live event tour with two of its biggest house shows of the year. WWE was in New York City at the Madison Square Garden, and also in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. The event at “The Garden” saw Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville make their debuts at the prestigious arena home to many of WWE’s greatest moments. It also hosted Randy Orton’s in-ring return to WWE.
Back in Chicago, Bad News Barrett returned to WWE, but would not compete in a match. Additionally, being in Chicago, WWE took the time to announce that the 2015 “Extreme Rules” pay-per-view event will be held in the “Windy City” at the Allstate Arena.
The 2015 “Extreme Rules” event, occurring on April 26, will be the first pay-per-view following WrestleMania 31. To the general public, tickets will go on sale Jan. 10, 2015. Though, WWE also announced the Ticketmaster pre-sale password of “EXTREME” to the fans in attendance at the Allstate Arena. In 2013 and 2014, the Allstate Arena was home to the first two editions of WWE’s “Payback” pay-per-view.
Editor’s Note
The Chicago based crowds typically make for a good atmosphere, and it should be no different for the first pay-per-view following WrestleMania 31.
