The Latest on Rey Mysterio's WWE Status

There has recently been some doubt among fans, regarding Rey Mysterio remaining with WWE in the future. As we previously reported, as of late, Rey Mysterio’s merchandise has not been selling as well as it had in the past. However, Mysterio recently noted in an interview that he intends to re-sign with WWE, after his contract expires in the near future. Additionally, Mysterio will be included in WWE Studios’ upcoming “Flinstones” movie.

PWInsider recently published a report regarding Rey Mysterio’s WWE status. A source informed PWInsider that Mysterio will be sticking around for at least another year, due to his inclusion in the “Flinstones” film. Last month, there was word going around WWE that Mysterio was being downplayed on WWE programming because of his contract status. However, as of this writing, it appears that Mysterio will re-sign soon and remain with WWE.

Another telltale sign regarding Rey Mysterio’s WWE status is that Mysterio recently revealed in an interview that he will be among the 30 WWE Superstars in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal taking place at WrestleMania XXX.
