Through the past couple of weeks, “The Eater of Worlds,” Bray Wyatt, has cut a number of cryptic promos. With each promo, it is becoming more and more evident that Wyatt is referencing The Undertaker, who was rumored to be a potential foe for Wyatt at WrestleMania 31, back in December of 2014.
In a recent edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline hit on The Undertaker’s presumed return to WWE programming here in 2015. According to the wrestling insider, The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31 is all but set in stone.
At what point this feud will start is the question on everybody’s mind, and Meltzer gave his thoughts on the topic:
“I would think they don’t pull the trigger until the day after Fastlane. I’m guessing that’s when The Undertaker would show up.”
The “Monday Night Raw” Meltzer references will emanate from Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena on Feb. 23, the day after the “Fastlane” pay-per-view.
Additionally, WrestlingRumors.net can confirm from a WWE source that the company and Taker have been in constant contact through the past couple of weeks. The two sides have been communicating since December, which in turn, has led to Bray Wyatt’s strong booking and cryptic promos. With The Undertaker meeting with WWE over the last several weeks, the question is not will he be returning, but will Feb. 23 be when he rises to confront the “Eater of Worlds.”
Editor’s Note
I figured that WWE would hold off on Taker’s return until “Fastlane” wraps up. I am beyond excited to see Taker and Wyatt feud, no matter who comes out on top at WrestleMania. When Taker does return, likely on Feb. 23, I am really intrigued to see if or how The Streak being snapped is referenced and comes into play during the feud.
