Kane will be part of Team Authority in the main event of the 2014 “Survivor Series” pay-per-view on Nov. 23. With The Authority potentially being out of power, if its team was to lose the match, Kane’s current character may undergo another transformation. To promote the upcoming event, set to take place in St. Louis, Missouri, Kane was interviewed by TheTelegraph.com.
Kane, who debuted in 1997 during WWE’s inaugural Hell in a Cell match, talked about the importance of St. Louis for him:
“It’s always good to come back home, really St. Louis is home for me, where I became a fan, where I debuted, in my first ‘Hell in a Cell’ match. Certainly St. Louis has been a big part of my personal history with wrestling and WWE.”
“We would come down; when I was a kid, I say we lived in the country where cable was out most of the time, and the closest all-star wrestling was out of Kansas City (Mo.), but once a month at grandma’s in West Alton, I’d watch ‘Wrestling at The Chase.'”
The on-screen Director of Operations for WWE is impressed with the slew of young up-and-coming stars within WWE:
“I think the upcoming talent is great. For awhile I was very worried about the future of WWE because I worried about where the stars would come from. But WWE has done a fabulous job in partnering with Full Sail University, for WWE’s training facility. Some of the guys are second and third generations, but the thing about WWE’s training, is they learn our system before going on the roster, it’s more seamless. WWE’s future is bright.”
“The Big Red Machine” was also questioned about him possibly donning his signature red mask once again:
“At some point, we will see that again. In WWE never say never, but certainly I like what I’m doing now — Kane is Kane.”
Editor’s Note
Good read from Kane. I’m certainly intrigued to see what becomes of Kane, if The Authority becomes no more.
