WWE is planning on releasing a DVD set for current WWE manager Paul Heyman in August of 2014, around the time of the SummerSlam pay-per-view. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who recorded an interview for the DVD, recently published a blog on JRsBarBq.com, commenting on Paul Heyman’s DVD.
Jim Ross wrote the following interesting take regarding the DVD:
“Based on what some of those interviewed have told me, I’m not sure that the upcoming Paul Heyman DVD will be a tribute or a roast. Seriously, the DVD should be entertaining and informative but if you would have told me in our WCW days that Paul would someday have a WWE DVD, I’d have asked what you were smoking.
My Happy Heyman DVD interview lasted over two hours and from what I was told I was the last person to be interviewed for the much anticipated release.”
It will certainly be interesting to see how Heyman is portrayed in the DVD, especially if it is indeed a “roast,” like Ross mentioned. WWE definitely roasted Ultimate Warrior in its “The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior” DVD, but Warrior was not with the company at that time.
