On Friday, April 24, Mick Foley’s one night only comedy special “Cheap Pops” was taped for future use on the WWE Network from Full Sail University, the location of NXT. Following the event, Mick Foley took to social media, expressing his joy for how the show played out.
Through his Facebook page, Foley announced that “Cheap Pops” will debut on the WWE Network on Wednesday, April 29:

“I had an incredible time last night, bringing ?Cheap Pops? to life at ?Full Sail University?. I believe it will be making it’s premiere on ?WWE Network? on WEDNESDAY! Now I start all over again, working on a brand new show to bring on the road when the new tour starts at the end of May.”

A fan report from PWInsider has provided some news and notes from the taping. The show was hosted by NXT personality Greg Hamilton, with Jim Ross also opening the show for Foley. “Good Ol’ JR” took the stage for about 30 minutes, holding a Q&A, while also telling short stories. Ross’ appearance is not expected to be showcased on the WWE Network.
For about an hour, Foley reflected on his time in the wrestling industry, taking questions towards the end.
