As noted before, Scott Hall pulled out of a WrestleFest event, citing personal and medical issues. Now, in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, more details surrounding Hall’s absence and condition are reported on.

The newsletter’s report states that Hall was scheduled to appear at the event with his son Cody, but sent a text message to the event’s promoter, Kirk White, telling him he was in dark place. Hall’s alleged text then went on to say that he refused to get out of bed and would not be appearing. It is also revealed that Hall was paid 50% of his money, totaling $1,600, in advance. Shortly thereafter, on May 16, White received the text from Hall. This was the same day that Cody and Scott were scheduled to fly out of Atlanta to San Francisco.

Following the incident, there is now a lot of concern for Hall. However, not much is known for sure about his status, as at this point, it is all just pure speculation. It is also reported that months ago, Hall had been asked if he was drinking. His response to that question went something along the lines of, “I have not had a drink today.”

Editor’s Note

I really hope that things have not turned dark for Scott Hall. If they have, he needs to simply remember: “Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don’t last, but BAD GUYS do.”
