As Alberto Del Rio and Batista engaged in a bit of a Twitter feud due to Del Rio cutting a promo on Batista during the Jan. 6 “Old School” edition of “Monday Night Raw,” the two may have taken it too far. Batista reportedly has garnered some backstage heat for one of his tweets that was recently deleted, according to PWInsider.
During Del Rio’s promo on the Jan. 6 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” he vowed to eliminate Batista during the Royal Rumble match, saying that he was tired of all the attention that Batista was receiving.
Following Del Rio’s promo, Batista posted the following on Twitter:

This led Del Rio to respond with a series of tweets on Jan. 8 pertaining to “The Animal.”

Del Rio may have taken it too far when he brought up Batista’s only MMA match against Vince Lucero, who was a last-minute replacement opponent. Batista beat Lucero by TKO in the first round of the fight.
Del Rio’s tweet on Batista’s MMA career led Batista to respond with the following, which has since been deleted:
“Seems 2 me that some C level stars in a B level star era have bought into their own hype. Don’t turn a work into a shoot. #realitycheck”
Although the tweet was deleted, according to PWInsider, it has been a hot topic among WWE’s locker room. The feeling is that Batista buried the entire locker room with one tweet. The ordeal has been compared to the time Triple H said The Undertaker was the only member of the locker room that was worthy of wrestling him.
The website’s report goes on to hint that Batista’s return had already upset some as it was viewed that he walked into a WrestleMania main event. His tweet only made those feelings more abundant.
