The wrestling world lost one of its finest when “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Rhodes, a WWE Hall of Famer, passed away at an Orlando hospital, following a collapse in his home the previous day. Additionally, his daughter-in-law, WWE announcer Eden, revealed that Rhodes’ death was a result of “natural causes” in relation to an illness.
On Tuesday, June 16, TMZ obtained and released audio of the 911 call placed by Dusty Rhodes’ wife Michelle, following her husband’s fall the day prior to his death.
Below is a transcript of that call:
Michelle: “I need help. I need an ambulance.”
Operator: “What’s wrong? Tell me what happened.”
Michelle: “My husband has fallen. He is very sick. I need help!”
Operator: “They’re coming as fast as they can. Me talking to you is not stopping them.”
Michelle: “Alright!”
Operator: “What is your phone number that you are calling from?”
Michelle: “I don’t even know.”
Operator: “Okay, that’s fine. How old is he?”
Michelle: “He’s 69, and he’s ill.”
Operator: “Okay, I understand that he is ill, and he fell. The paramedics are coming as fast as they can, like I said.”
Michelle: “Alright, thank you! Thank you!”
*At this point, Michelle hangs up the phone*
Operator: “Okay, and when did this happen? Hello…[audible sigh] Hello….Hello.”

Editor’s Note
This is a bit hard to listen to, as the 911 operator appeared annoyed, for whatever reason.
