Back in December, news broke that WWE was releasing Amy “Lita” Dumas and Jerry “The King” Lawler from their contracts. At the time, both WWE Hall of Famers were regulars on the company’s pre and post-show panels.

Now though, according to Cageside Seats, one of the two Hall of Famers, that being Jerry Lawler, has signed a new deal with WWE.

It was recently reported that Lawler is scheduled to do commentary at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and there’s a chance that he could end up being a surprise entrant in the Rumble match.

On last week’s SmackDown, Lawler hosted a “King’s Court” segment, and his guest was Dolph Ziggler. Long story short, the segment ended with Ziggler superkicking Lawler. So don’t be surprise if “The King” enters the match and eliminates Ziggler.
