On Monday, WWE announced that former World Heavyweight Champion and longtime TNA star Kurt Angle will headline their annual Hall of Fame ceremony on April 1.

Prior to the announcement, fans were hoping that Angle would enter the Royal Rumble as a surprise, and now that he’s officially back with WWE, fans are now expecting him to be a part of next weekend’s show.

Now, it looks like Angle being a part of the Royal Rumble is possible, as per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he’s been pulled from an independent show that is taking place in Dundee, Scotland on the same weekend as the Royal Rumble.

“Kurt Angle has been pulled from Five Star Wrestling for the show next weekend in Dundee, Scotland. He was going to be a television announcer for the live Spike U.K. broadcast. I figured that was almost a lock to happen for all the obvious reasons.”
