Chris Jericho recently revealed on his podcast, Talk is Jericho, that he has just signed an extension with WWE, and that he will be around for WrestleMania 33. But, will he stick around after WWE’s biggest show of the year? Maybe. But, according to Cageside Seats, the current United States Champion will once again leave WWE this coming spring.
“Chris Jericho signed a new WWE deal but he’s not expected to last longer than WrestleMania 33.”
Jericho’s band Fozzy is in the middle of recording their newest studio album, and a tour will almost certainly happen at some point after they’re finished recording. In recent years, Y2J has made Fozzy his number one priority, which is why he always leaves WWE whenever the band is on tour.
It’s likely that Jericho will defend the United States Championship against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 33. Will that be his last match before he goes back on the road with Fozzy? It could be. But it’s likely that, if he loses the US Title to Owens on April 2, he’ll have a rematch with KO the very next night on Raw, where he’ll lose again.
