When Goldberg returned to WWE back in October of last year, most fans absolutely loved him. When he beat Brock Lesnar in less than two minutes, the fans loved him even more. But, most of those very same fans ended up turning on him last month, after he defeated Kevin Owens, and became the new Universal Champion.

Whether or not Goldberg gets cheered is probably irrelevant to WWE, because he’ll likely be a big draw for them even if the audience isn’t pulling for him, which is why they’re considering giving him another contract extension.

According to Cageside Seats, WWE is interested in having Goldberg continue on past WrestleMania. They want him to continue on the same kind of schedule, which probably means that he’ll continue making the same amount of money that he is now. So, there will be absolutely no reason for him to walk away from the squared circle following April 2, barring injury of course.

If Goldberg does continue on past WrestleMania, WWE will need to find someone else for him to work with, because if they have him work with Brock Lesnar again, the fans will probably begin heavily booing both guys.

Will we see Goldberg continue on past WrestleMania? If so, who would you like to see him work with? Let us know in the comments below, or over on Facebook!
