For over ten years Kurt Angle was persona non grata at WWE due to his issues with addiction. But, in recent years, our Olympic Hero has cleaned up, which convinced Vince McMahon to give him another chance with the company.

Angle was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, then, just three days later, he was named as the new general manager of Monday Night Raw, as he replaced Mick Foley. So WWE hasn’t just brought him back for a minor role like they do with most returning legends who go into the Hall of Fame.

During a recent interview with Wrestling Inc, Angle spoke about his current relationship with the WWE chairman, which he described as good, even though he doesn’t really know what to expect from the boss every week.

“With Vince, you have to remember he’s always thinking. He always has something on his mind. So you don’t know which Vince you’re going to run into. Now, one day, he’s going to hug you and talk to you for 20 minutes. The next day, he doesn’t have time to do it. Vince is a very lovable man and when you’re good to him, he’s good to you. He [has] always been that way and he was my father figure for a long time.”
