Kenny Omega’s deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling is set to expire on January 31, which means that he’ll be unable to participate in the Royal Rumble, which will take place two days prior. But, one thing is for sure, which is that he’ll be the hottest free agent in all of pro wrestling if he decides to not re-sing with NJPW.

On Tuesday’s edition of the Ross Report with former WWE play-by-play commentator Jim Ross, good ‘ole JR predicted that Omega will remain in New Japan, but he also said that he has no idea what WWE’s offer to him will be.

“I think Kenny Omega will stick with [NJPW] right now. But I also don’t know what type of full-court press WWE will do to make him not re-sign with New Japan at the end of January and give them the opportunity to get in the hunt.”

WWE has been on a kick of signing absolutely everyone with any name value that becomes available, so they’ll probably make some kind of offer to Omega.

John Cena has been teasing Kenny Omega’s WWE debut with a pair of Instagram posts. He did the same thing last January with AJ Styles, so it’ll be interesting to see if Omega follows in The Phenomenal One’s footsteps.
