Yes, it’s true, Kurt Angle is finally coming back to WWE via a Hall of Fame induction, as WWE announced on Monday afternoon that the former World Heavyweight Champion and 1996 Olympic gold medalist will headline the class of 2017.
Following the announcement, Paul Levesque, AKA Triple H, released the following statement.
“Kurt Angle’s accomplishments both in the Olympics and WWE were extraordinary. He was one of the most gifted athletes to ever enter the ring, and we are honored to welcome him into the WWE Hall of Fame.”
Angle then commented on his WWE return via Twitter.

He also told ESPN the following.
During Raw, WWE announced that Angle will appear on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Wednesday night, where he’ll presumably talk more about his return to WWE, and his Hall of Fame induction.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter originally reported that Angle was telling independent promoters that he’ll be unable to take bookings because he’s returning to WWE in April. At the time, nobody knew what to make of the report, but it’s now clear that our Olympic Hero knew about the Hall of Fame induction long before any of us did.

As for who will induct Angle, well, there’s three options: Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, John Cena, or Brock Lesnar.
