Dave Meltzer on Brock Lesnar UFC Return Rumours; Alberto El Patron & Paige Update | The LAW

On Sunday, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter appeared on the Live Audio Wrestling podcast to discuss all of the news in the pro wrestling world, as well as Brock Lesnar’s future in WWE and the UFC.

“Well, from what I understand, [Brock Lesnar is] going to jump in [the USADA drug testing pool],” said Meltzer. “I was actually told that he was in, and as of now he hasn’t asked to be put in. He’s gotta go in soon because there’s a five-month time frame and they want him to fight in December.

“He’s got five more months of a suspension based on when he retired [from MMA], so he’s got to be in the testing pool five months before the late-December pay-per-view, which is the target date for him to fight.”

Meltzer also noted that the UFC wants to have Lesnar fight ex-UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones upon his return. Of course, if the fight does happen, it’ll be at heavyweight.
