Tye Dillinger vs. Jinder Mahal: SmackDown LIVE, July 11, 2017

It looks like Jinder Mahal’s title reign, along with WWE’s big India push will be coming to an end soon.

According to SportsKeeda, WWE is going to take the title off of Mahal at some point in the near future, and the person who wins it will immediately lose it to Baron Corbin via a Money in the Bank cash-in.

“As things stand, the WWE is planning to take the WWE Championship off Jinder Mahal in the near future, with a cash-in by Baron Corbin imminent on whomever successfully dethrones Mahal.”

As of right now, Jinder Mahal is still the favorite to defeat Randy Orton at tonight’s Battleground show, which means that he’ll likely end up retaining the title. So, if WWE is actually planning on taking it off of him soon, then he’ll probably drop it at SummerSlam.
