This morning, NXT star Bull Dempsey was the first to go. Dempsey was in NXT for over two years and has been featured on NXT programming for two different runs.
The first was a monster heel run that was ended after he lost his momentum to Baron Corbin. The second run was the recent “Bullfit” gimmick, which didn’t impress WWE enough for him to stay.
Bull Dempsey revealed his release with the following tweets:

However, Dempsey would only be the first WWE release of the day. WWE also wished the best in their future endeavors to Sylvester LeFort and Marcus Louis, who were also known as “The Legionnaires.”
They were best known in NXT for their feud with Enzo Amore and Big Cass, which led to a hair vs. hair match that cause Louis to lose his. NXT toyed with Louis becoming a monster heel like unmasked Kane, but the roster is just filled, and there clearly was only so much space for talent.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Magno (Oscar Vasquez) and Peter Howard were also released as developmental talents. lThat brings the total number of NXT cuts today to five.
