It was recently reported that WWE was actively looking for new women to join their developmental system, but they also are looking for some of the best talent in wrestling to join their “Divas Search” like tournament that will be based on in-ring ability.
The structure will be much like “The Cruiserweight Classic” tournament that will take place later this summer and the company has recently begun taking tryouts for the series that is still in development.
Earlier today, it was revealed in a report from Wrestlezone.com that there were a few guidelines for any female talents that were looking to get signed by the company or take part in the women’s tournament.
The following three guidelines were listed:
- Stop gigging on indie shows.
- Get in your best shape possible
- Start working on promos
Just to be clear, getting into the best shape possible and working on promos is kind of a no-brainer when it comes getting signed by the biggest wrestling company in the world, but the point still needs to be made for some talents.
“Gigging” is not implying that a talent should stop taking gigs with other wrestling promotions. It means that when they do have other shows, they shouldn’t intentionally blade or cut themselves for matches.
What do you think of the guidelines WWE is using to find female talent?
