Many within the WWE Universe felt that King Barrett was an underrated wrestler during his time with WWE. It wasn’t until earlier this year that Barrett finally had enough of his time in WWE and asked for his release.
It was ultimately granted to him and the WWE Universe wondered what he would be doing next. If he would stay in the wrestling industry, or if he would move on to something else. For now, it is the latter.
According to a report from WrestlingInc.com, Barrett made the announcement via Twitter that he has been cast in a lead role of Evolutionary Films’, “Vengeance.”
Barrett will be playing the lead role of John Gold and will be rivaled against martial arts legend Gary Daniels, who will play his nemesis “Hatcher” in the movie.
Barrett posted the following on his Twitter revealing the announcement:

He has some acting under his belt and he honestly has the right look to be a leading man in movies, the real question is how his acting ability will be on the big screen. There is still much more for Barrett to do in wrestling, but if his passion is movies, that’s a great career choice too.
Do you think Barrett should do movies or continue to wrestle?
