In the wake of Joanie Laurer’s death, known to the wrestling industry as Chyna, there is a lot of backlash against the powers that be in WWE about “The Ninth Wonder of the World” being denied the honor of a WWE Hall of Fame induction before her death.
There is a lot of outrage about the missed opportunity to immortalize Chyna’s place in WWE history after she had tried several times to make amends with the company.
However, WWE is now in a damned if they do, or damned if they don’t situation with her potential induction into the Hall of Fame.
If they don’t let her in next year, it’s going to bring a lot of negativity to the company during Wrestlemania season in Orlando.
On the other hand, letting her in after her death makes it look like the only reason why she was allowed in is due to her tragic death and the insistence of the WWE Universe to honor her accomplishments.
Earlier today, Triple H spoke with The Mirror in the UK. Of course, Chyna’s death came up, and The Game commented on the issue at hand and a potential induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
You can read the full interview right here. Below is what Triple H had to say about Chyna and the Hall of Fame:
“You know it’s not my decision, but I definitely think, as I have said before, that what she did in her life certainly warrants it. There was never anybody like her before her, and there will never be anybody like her after. It’s certainly warranted and I’m sure at some point when the time is right, hopefully, that could happen.”
Do you think Chyna deserves a WWE Hall of Fame induction?
