There are few people on this planet as charismatic and talented as The Rock. He’s a man that can have his hand in many different jars that most people wouldn’t be able to pull off.
A lot of it is natural and a lot of it is just simple and insane work ethic. He’s been a WWE Champion in three different decades, he’s been making movies go No. 1 for two decades, and he’s even thought about politics.
Recently, The Rock did an interview with UFC Unfiltered. During that interview, he revealed that he was at one point interested in becoming an MMA fighter after leaving WWE.
You can read the full interview right here. Below are some of the highlights:
Did The Rock ever consider training to become a UFC Fighter?
“There was a time there where I thought, man, I achieved everything I wanted to achieve in WWE, my movie career is floundering a little bit, what do I do? I was relatively still young, I think I was thirty-four. I thought, oh well maybe UFC. Maybe I should do something like that.”
“In my head, I felt like it was a two-year process for me to even get in The Octagon, let alone in the UFC. I wasn’t quite too sure what to do or what kind of people to put around me at the time, so the idea kind of fizzled out and I cotunued to stay on the path of movie making.”
