Shelton Benjamin Will Return to WWE in Six Months

Shortly after the brand extension, it was announced that Shelton Benjamin would be returning to WWE and the be exclusive to the SmackDown brand soon.

The WWE Universe was ecstatic to learn of his return to WWE, but a torn rotator cuff has delayed his return to WWE and many are wondering if his second chance is gone completely.

According to a report from RingSideNews.com, there is still significant interest in Shelton making his return to WWE programming when he recovers from shoulder surgery.

Both Triple H and Vince McMahon are said to be big fans of his work, and he didn’t really leave on bad terms when he left WWE a few years ago.

The feeling is that Benjamin can provide the WWE roster a lot of depth since he can be used in various ways. A  lot can happen in six months, but that is the timetable for his return to WWE programming.

Six months from now would be roughly March. Benjamin would be able to make a Wrestlemania return, or WWE could hold off on his return until after Wrestlemania 33 to not force him into those feuds.
