Most fans are going to remember Shane Helms as “Hurricane Helms” during his time in WWE. Others will remember him for his great runs with the Cruiserweight title between WCW and WWE. The still has the most days as the champion.
In 2010, WWE released Shane Helms from his contract. For the next couple years, he bounced around the independent scene. It wasn’t until last year that he had a tryout with TNA to become an agent for the company. That’s where he has been since then.
Recently, Helms appeared on TNA Impact and cost Tigre Uno the X Division Championship and aligned himself with Trevor Lee and became his heel manager.
The company must like what they have seen because it was announced yesterday that Shane Helms has re-signed with the company.
The promotion issued the following statement:
TNA Executive Vice-President of Television and Talent Relations John Gaburick has announced IMPACT WRESTLING has reached a multi-year agreement with Gregory Shane Helms. “Shane has been an integral part of the behind the scenes operations of IMPACT WRESTLING and we look forward to having him part of the team for years to come”, said Gaburick.
Helms signed with TNA in March of 2015 as an agent. He made an appearance on the February 2nd episode of Impact Wrestling when he assisted Trevor Lee in defeating Tigre Uno for the X Division Championship.
