As of this writing, there are still an amazing amount of questions about how WWE is going to pull of the brand extension that is now barely over a month away.
It’s been reported that both shows will have distinctive rosters and NXT will be “raided” for talent to fill both rosters. However, it is the logistics of championships and PPVs that are raising the most questions.
According to a report from RingSideNews.com, Jerry “The King” Lawler made an appearance at “Superman Celebration” in Metropolis, Illinois and let some precious details about the brand split out of the bag.
Lawler told the fans in attendance that WWE will be having two separate PPVs on the WWE Network for both Raw and SmackDown to deal with the PPV situation.
The only months WWE will combine the two brands into one show will be “Royal Rumble”, Wrestlemania, “Summerslam” and “Survivor Series.”
In the past, Lawler has accidently let news like this slip, so it’s only a rumor at this time. However, The King let it slip that SmackDown would be moving to Thursdays and going live before the news broke. It’s not confirmed, but it’s a most likely kind of situation.
Do you like the idea of Raw and SmackDown having a PPV every month?
