Many people have wondered what Lesnar vs. Owens would be like since the latter is one of the few that could really give The Beast Incarnate a decent fight in the ring.
The match has long been rumored. That hasn’t stopped, but it seems as if WWE may finally be pulling the trigger on the feud for Brock Lesnar’s return at “Summerslam.”
According to a report from Ringtalkk.com, Lesnar vs. Owens is penciled in for “Summerslam” this year, which is going to be a huge match for WWE after the former’s return to UFC.
The match will be a draw because Owens is one of the best heels WWE has, and working with Lesnar has been talked about by wrestling fans for awhile now.
However, the real selling point here is Lesnar’s return to WWE. If he defeats Mark Hunt at UFC 200, it’s going to be a forgone conclusion that Lesnar defeats Owens because he can’t go from winning in The Octagon to losing matches in WWE no matter who the opponent will be.
A loss could make it far more plausible for Owens to walk out with a win, even though it will remain unlikely. The situation is going to be good for Owens no matter what because he gets to work a huge match with Lesnar.
