The upcoming brand split is going to cause a lot of changes for WWE programming and especially for the WWE roster for the foreseeable future.

A lot of the selling point for the brand extension is that a lot of young talents will get the chance to spread their wings. Previous reports have claimed that WWE will be “raiding” NXT to help with the split, but that’s not all they’ll be doing.

According to a recent report from RingSideNews.com, the company is currently reaching out to several former WWE veterans of the past to help with the brand split.

The additional talent from NXT is going to be pivotal to making the brand split work, but seeing the future is only so strong of a selling point. If WWE can bring back familiar faces of the future, that’s a great selling point too.

For example, someone like Rob Van Dam has made claims in the past that he would absolutely return to WWE for the right price. He’s the perfect guy to come in as a veteran, work with young talent, put them over, and build up a lot of new stars for either Raw or SmackDown?

Do you think bringing back veterans is a good idea for the brand split?
