Earlier today, it was announced that WWE programming will bring back a brand split in July when SmackDown moves to Tuesday nights and will air live on USA Network.
Obviously, the excitement is at a fever pitch because the possibilities are endless. However, many of us are still wondering how the brand split will work and how the WWE roster will be split up when the time comes.
According to a rumor from DailyWrestlingNews.com, it’s being reported that each show is set to have one midcard title, and each one will have a World Championship.
There is some debate about what’s going to happen with the Women’s division and the WWE Tag Team titles, but it seems like both will be featured on both Raw and SmacDown. It’s possible the women may be exclusive to one show.
As of this writing, WWE’s Draft to establish both rosters is scheduled for the July 11th edition of Monday Night Raw in Detroit.
As for any roster plans, it’s being said that many talents have no idea what is going on or where they will end up by the Draft, and there are most likely going to be call-ups from NXT to help fill the rosters. It’s also being assumed that WWE will continue to sign new talent and recruit talent from things like the Cruiserweight Classic.
Do you think the brand split is a good idea?
