It was reported a few days ago that Sasha Banks had suffered a “freak” injury during a WWE live event that caused her to have a concussion.

As of this writing, we still don’t have a timetable for her return, but the concussion is said to be “significant” and WWE may even have to rethink plans for her over the summer.

Banks has only been working house shows and has been noticeably off Raw and SmackDown because WWE has been intentionally keeping her off for “long-term storyline purposes.”

Now, it’s being reported that Sasha will have to undergo the company’s Impact concussion testing before she can be medically cleared to compete once again, but WWE isn’t sure when that will be.

The penciled in plans for The Boss were rumored to be a feud with Charlotte going into “Summerslam” and it was believed that she would dethrone Charlotte and become the new WWE Women’s Champion.

It’s not even June, so August is a little far to be nixing those plans, but her injury could potentially force WWE officials to rethink those plans if her recovery goes south over the next few months.

Do you think now is a good time to call up Bayley to replace Sasha Banks for “Summerslam?”
