Despite the issues from the first round of tapings for the “Cruiserweight Classic,” it was a success, and the series is still highly anticipated when it will finally air in July.
The best part of the entire series is the face that WWE gets to directly scout thirty-two talents for NXT or even the main roster. Many of those talents could become WWE superstars over the next few weeks.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, Kota Ibushi is at the top of Triple H’s list. Apparently, The Game really likes Ibushi and thinks he would be a huge star in WWE.
Ibushi got into the “Cruiserweight Classic” after he was contacted by Finn Balor after he left DDT and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Soon after that, Ibsuhi’s number ended up in the hands of Matt Bloom at the WWE Performance Center.
What’s interesting is Ibushi passed on an offer from WWE for his own “Ibushi Wrestling Research Institute” project that he has been working on recently.
Shortly after that, Triple H called Kota Ibushi personally, and that eventually let to him getting involved with the CWC series, and he accepted their offer the very same day.
Do you think Kota Ibushi will do well in NXT or on the main roster?
