Ever since NXT Takeover: Arrival in 2014, Takeover specials have been hugely successful and have sold out full arenas in Full sail University, Brooklyn, Dallas, and London.
However, it was announced that June 8th, Takeover will be called “NXT Takeover: The End.” A lot of fans are speculating that it’s just drawing attention to the end of the rivalry between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe, but there is a lot more speculation that NXT will no longer be having Takeover specials after June 8th.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II that was set for this August is no longer being listed on Ticketmaster for 2016 Summerslam weekend.
The brand split has raised a lot of questions. Now, there is a lot of speculation that the WWE Draft in July could mean the end of NXT with all that talent coming up to the main roster to fill the rosters for Raw and SmackDown.
However, there is still an NXT even listed on WWE.com and other sources are reporting conflicting information about the future of NXT.
WrestlingNewsSource.com is reporting that NXT is not in danger and Ticketmaster taking off the show was just to update the pictures and logo of the event. However, this has not been confirmed at this time.
How do you think NXT will work now that a developmental talent could go to Raw or SmackDown?
