Rumor: Melina Close to Signing New Deal For WWE Return

There have been so many rumors about former WWE Superstars returning to the company to help with roster depth as the brand extension finds it’s legs.

However, for all the former WWE Superstars that have been rumored, there have been very few former WWE Divas that have been mentioned for a WWE return.

According to a rumor from CageSideSeats.com, out of all the WWE superstars that have been mentioned and are rumored to return to WWE, it is former Diva Melina who is the closest to signing a new deal.

Melina is rarely mentioned on WWE programming, but she remains one of the most accomplished female wrestlers in WWE history and an obvious choice for a return to the company.

She would be valuable in the ring for either Raw or SmackDown. The question would be if WWE wants her to help the young talent of SmackDown, or become a top contender for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Potential feuds with Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Eva Marie, and several others would all be possible if she were to return. Melina’s legacy is intact, but working with a new generation could add a lot to her legacy.
