Last night on Raw, the Cruiserweight Division finally debuted on Monday Night Raw. It was revealed that Brian Kendrick will face TJ Perkins for the Cruiserweight Championship at “Clash of Champions.”
Meanwhile, Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, and Rich Swann all got a chance to perform on Raw. Many more talents are coming from the CWC, but there could be some veterans coming into the division soon.
According to a report from RingSideNews.com, Chris Jericho may be getting involved with the Cruiserweight Division after “Clash of Champions.”
WWE is being very firm with the weight limit of the division, but it’s possible some kind of match could happen between Perkins and Y2J to put over the division as legitimate competition as a little extra boost.
Jericho’s involvement would be a nice nod to his time in WCW as a part of their Cruiserweight division. Not to mention that is an entire new generation of workers for Jericho to get into the ring with in WWE.
Heading into “Clash of Champions,” Chris Jericho will be facing Sami Zayn, who is another man that could find himself involved in the Cruiserweight Division sooner rather than later.
