During her year as an active competitor in WWE, Ronda Rousey was the Raw Women’s Champion. She main evented WrestleMania 35 with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, and main evented WWE Evolution against Nikki Bella. There’s no denying her drawing power in the sports industry. Ronda was the draw that helped make Evolution possible.
According to a recent report from talkSport, WWE officials aren’t considering a second all-women’s PPV because they believe it won’t be successful without Ronda Rousey. In other words, the powers that be don’t trust any of their other women to be a top draw to promote a show for the women’s division. They don’t even trust Charlotte Flair to do it.

Becky Lynch, the current Raw Women’s Champion, recently spoke with Alex McCarthy of talkSport and said the following about not having Ronda Rousey as the top draw:
“Absolutely, I don’t see any reason why not,” said Rousey “I think we have a strong enough women’s division [without Rousey], as long as they tell the stories around us and let us go.”
A lot of people would take that as an insult to the entire division that all confidence was lost after Ronda Rousey went on vacation. Of course, Ronda is a mainsteam attraction but the WWE Universe believed that Rousey was there to give exposure to all the other women in the company. That’s WWE’s fault for letting Ronda Rousey dominate all year.
Unfortunately, the powers that be don’t seem to realize what a slap in the face that is to the rest of the women’s locker room. A locker room that spent over five years building the division from NXT to the main event of WrestleMania, so Ronda Rousey can have a place to perform after the end of her UFC career. The women’s division deserves better.
Do you think Ronda Rousey should come back to WWE or not?
