There has been some speculation about Ricochet, who was also Prince Puma for Lucha Underground, signing with WWE over the past several months.
He was asked about it and essentially gave the same answer almost everyone else does, “It would be great, and I know so many people who tell me to go.” What he really means is he may not be able to be himself.
When the “Cruiserweight Classic” was first being developed, the idea was it would be his launching pad into WWE and it would be called the “Global Cruiserweight Series.” Obviously, plans changed for everyone.
Ricochet is currently wrestling all over the world and for New Japan Pro Wrestling quite a bit, so naturally the rumor mill is still out on him potentially jumping ship to WWE as many New Japan star have this year.
According to a report from CageSideSeats.com, he’s not expected to go to WWE anytime in the near future, but the door to NXT will always be open.
Ricochet is a phenomenal athlete and a very good wrestler. He’s a one of a kind talent in this industry, so he’ll end up in WWE sooner or later. The question is what will he have left for the biggest platform?
Do you think Ricochet would do well in NXT?
