For the first time ever, WWE is allowing anyone on the WWE roster to become the WWE Superstar of the Year. WWE has made the following video to promote the WWE Universe to select the most worthy superstar:

After the WWE Universe was thrown a swerve earlier in the night with the “Breakout Star of the Year” award going to Neville instead of Charlotte or Kevin Owens, anything can happen with the “Superstar of the Year” award.
On paper, this is going to be the most popular award to vote for tonight. There are a lot of men that could take the award from Brock Lesnar to Seth Rollins to Kevin Owens and more. However, there is only one fair choice to win the award whether we realize it now or not.
Roman Reings should win the 2015 “Superstar of the Year” award. He was able to win last night on the popular vote without having accomplished half of what he has this year. Roman won the Royal Rumble, defeated Daniel Bryan, main evented Wrestlemania with Brock Lesnar, had the best feud on the WWE main roster against Bray Wyatt and became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion twice.
If last week hadn’t gone the way it had, Roman Reigns winning this award would have been recieved much differently. However, Reigns is over and he’s the WWE Champion.
Unless the WWE Universe chooses Seth Rollins or John Cena, it should be Roman Reigns. He’s earned it this year. Many years from now, we’ll remember 2015 as the year Reigns broke out. A Slammy Award recognizing that will make it easier to argue that fact in the future.
