Report: TNA Aggressively Going After Free Agents For Pop TV Debut On New Year’s Day

There is a strong rumor going around that not only are Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett finished with Ring of Honor, but the couple is actively telling people that they’re going to TNA in early 2016.

This news is only the first instance of TNA actively shopping for new talent because a new report from the Wrestling Observer claims that the company is aggressively going after talents from ROH and other promotions.

TNA is looking to sign these talents exclusively with the company. There is information of at least one talent discussing outside programming ideas as part of the deal to get them signed exclusively with TNA.

There are reportedly other talents that are listening to offers, including Bennett and Kanellis. Since TNA is set to debut their original programming on the Pop TV network on January 5th, the company wants to have a few surprises up their sleeve to start the deal with Pop TV off on the right foot.

In the lead up to that premiere date, Pop TV will be airing two “Best Of 2015” episodes over the next two weeks. The first episode will air this Wednesday night at 9 p.m and the second episode at the same time on 12/30.

In addition to those two episodes, Pop TV has added a third TNA special to their schedule. “This Is Impact” will air and give “an in-depth look at Impact Wrestling, including its wrestlers, history, feuds, factions, and fans, as well as a look at the World Title Series” on New Year’s Day at 1 AM Eastern.
