AJ Styles has truly been phenomenal during his time with WWE. He’s already been wrestling with WWE for roughly four months and has been in two good feuds and some great matches, but he’s lost most of them.
Other than a few wins over Chris Jericho, he lost to him at Wrestlemania and put over Roman Reigns twice this month in big match situations. Even last night, he lost clean to Kevin Owens in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match.
Losing is okay, but WWE booking has been using Styles more than elevating him to be exactly what he should be for the company.
He’s one of the hottest babyfaces on the company, especially after the pair of matches he just had with Reigns for the WWE title.
AJ doesn’t necessarily need to become the WWE Champion, but it’s important that he doesn’t fall into the upper midcard and just float around without being rewarded for his efforts.
Last night on Raw, The Club disbanded, which could signify a feud between Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Styles. That is very cool for now.
Eventually, he’s going to be looking for his next big thing and if becoming the WWE Champion is out of the question, WWE is limiting one of the best wrestlers in the world and placing a glass ceiling on him.
What do you think is next for AJ Styles?
