One of the most unpredictable matches on tonight’s Wrestlemania card is the seven-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. Simply put, there are seven choices for a winner in the match, and there is a lot of potential for a surprise in the match.
Kevin Owens could absolutely walk into the AT&T Stadium in a few hours and walk out of Dallas as the IC Champion, but there is an equal chance that he won’t, and KOmania will be spoiled.
Of course, it’s possible that Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Zack Ryder, or Sin Cara could become the new IC Champion in a swerve, but that’s unlikely.
Honestly, Miz and Ziggler are only in the match to make it competitive and to get on the Maina card, but Ryder and Cara are lucky to be there. The favorites are Owens and Sami Zayn, but the latter is my choice.
Not only is Zayn coming off the massively successful match with Shinsuke Nakamura from Friday, but he’s the best guy to take the title from Owens without actually beating him.
Owens vs. Zayn is going to be a major feud of 2016. There is no question that it will be a big deal over the next several months, but I think it all starts tonight.
It’s a fantastic moment for Sami Zayn to become the IC title at Wrestlemania, but there is a lot to be said about Owens losing the title without being pinned or submitted. He’ll be able to make that claim and set up a feud that is going to be red hot throughout 2016.
Of course, anything can happen tonight, but Sami Zayn winning just makes the most sense and there is no one more deserving.
Do you want to see Sami Zayn win the IC title tonight?
