Samoa Joe Expected to Move to Main Roster After Wrestlemania

Last night, Samoa Joe failed for the second time to win the NXT Championship from Finn Balor in the main event of Takeover. This was a surprise for a lot of people because they thought Joe was in a must win situation.

There is a lot of speculation about his future because his stock in NXT is very questionable after his loss last night because being pushed back into the midcard of NXT will eventually hurt his momentum.

Alas, it seems that the powers that be within WWE have a plan, and Samoa Joe is most likely headed for the main roster after Wrestlemania.

It was rumored a few months ago that this is exactly what would happen, but that was before NXT brass specifically made the decision for Balor to retain the NXT title last night.

According to Wrestlezone.com, Joe losing to Balor last night is most likely an indication of the grander plan for him to come to the main roster to be in the spotlight.

What is going to be really interesting is to see exactly his transition to the main roster goes. If he’ll split time between NXT, Raw, and SmackDown, or if he’ll be taking some time off before debuting on the main roster.

Of course, we could always be seeing Joe vs. Nakamura before Joe leaves for the main roster.
